Out to Grenville Channel again we motored up to Baker Inlet and through the very narrow entrance named Watts Narrows. Camera time again! Overnighted up at the head of the inlet where Carol saw a bear from her skiff while Marg. was on the beach walking Annie and Carol's sweet doggie, Milly. I tell you these two dogs are sure cute and keep us well entertained!! Well, Annie wasn't quite so cute a couple days ago when we went up the hot pool and left her behind on the boat. On our return I found she had been in our cabin (not her fault I left the door open) and had found where we keep our "big" Walmart chocolate bars. It must have been a fete for her to pull the bag of four of them out of the box which was in the deep shelf at end of our bed, chew through the bag, pull one of her choice out which happened to be a medium Belgian chocolate with nuts, get through the strong wrapping and finally enjoy eating about a third of the bar. I was horrified!! What a big tummy she had!!  Would she have eaten the whole thing if we hadn't returned when we did??   I sat on deck with her during supper time while she had her little tummy ache and Marg. said the big thing that saved her from nasty sickness was the "medium" chocolate. She could have just as easily chose the dark one ! Back to Baker Inlet now we did a nice long walk up the mountain on a logging road. Bear scat and tracks on the road along with wolf and deer. At the top of our walk we could look down and see our two boats anchored in the bay. Pretty sight and only us there. We had the rest of Marg's good chile for supper, a nice salad, and prawns pan cooked in butter and garlic. Yum!  How good does it get??  We pulled anchor and left early this morning (Thurs. 31st) the last day of May and back out through the narrows out of Baker Inlet at low slack tide. As we travel up Grenville we hope to reach Prince Rupert later today.

We arrived in Pr. Rupert on THURS. evening, MAY 31st and alto the forecast was for rain on the weekend (the towns people say they have had rain for 4 months) we did have two days of sunshine.  Everyone was happy!!  We packed as much into the two days as we could and had such an enjoyable visit. We kept calling it "our two day holiday"???   Great to get a haircut and laundry caught up. Kathryn (Eytcheson) and her husband Anthony Haig live here and they came down to our boat with their 3 children to see us and invite us to have dinner with them on Sat. evening. How nice was that? Anthony bbq'd. salmon and it was the best!!   We will try to remember his technique. They have a lovely home on which he has done major renovations - what a talented guy. We tried to keep up with cousin Marg at a couple church garage sales and we all came home with a few "treasures". Fun!
